McPherson Consulting is a certified small, women-owned business drawing on over 30 years of hands-on traffic engineering, transportation planning, project management, analysis, and delivery experience. The firm provides a broad range of traffic engineering and transportation planning services including signal timing, signal design, traffic analysis, comprehensive signal system design, transportation planning studies, and interchange justification reports. McPherson Consulting combines extensive local and national experience to provide our clients with comprehensive solutions.

Karen has over 30 years of experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering.  Having spent her entire career in Hampton Roads, Karen has worked directly with every major city in the area, VDOT, the Virginia Port Authority, numerous private developers, and NAVFAC MIDLANT.  Karen is a technical expert in traffic signal timing and operations analysis.

In opening McPherson Consulting, Karen seeks to offer expert traffic engineering and transportation planning services while fulfilling any SWaM or SBA requirements.

Karen's experience and existing relationships combined with her attention to detail and customer-focused approach provides her clients with high quality work and personal service at a value.
